jules

to my good friend julie:

you will do it, and you will do it well. try to not be hard on yourself; you don't deserve it. you are smart and capable and no one can stop you. not even a little test.

i love you.

yay, pepto bismol

diarrhea, indigestion, diarrhea... yay pepto bismol.

i don't know if this is funny or sick, but you can make the pepto bismol people dance, you can even choose which ailment they should have while dancing.

go to the pb site and click on the dance machine promo on the left side...

is this funny, or sick? what do you think?

the music alone...

...makes a glance at this site worthwhile.

this site made my day yesterday. it's a great example of sound and flash falling into the wrong hands.

(okay, my website critiquing guilt kicks in again, i know this site is the result of someone's very hard efforts, i respect that)(it still sucks, though)

yes, you too can whack your boss

i would never do this, especially not with the scissors. nope, never.

'your project has to be completely redone.'

I wouldn't do this, i like bret too much, but you could. wouldn't it be fun?

cello update

so i played my cello for some people on saturday night (aaron and linda and rob) to get a sense for how it will be to play in front of people in my recital. i figured they were the safest bets, that they would all love me no matter how i sounded.

linda and rob loved me, but aaron was a little harsh. oh well. maybe i'm just sensitive.

'you're working on the technical stuff still right? i mean, you're not going to play it now [in front of people] are you?'

i guess i still have some work to do. i was feeling too good about my abilities anyway. back to work.

then, last night i tried to hobble my way through the unaccompanied bach piece that yo yo ma plays on the 'master and commander' soundtrack. he plays much better than i do, but i love that piece.

ham jam 06- craziness to the hamth power!

if you missed the party, you missed you some serious ham.

here is one picture that gives a small sense of the party craziness:

i will say that the gal with the pointy tongue is one of our clients, but i won't say which one.

oh yeah, and you should have seen the cake we had (yummy):

yes, this is really a cake!

kudos to laura for ordering this cake from a crowded jewish bakery on the friday prior to easter, that girl's got balls.

she was also going into labor as the party was getting started... healthy delivery wishes to laura and her husband, jay.

emma mekkes

emma and her brother luke visited us on friday (with their parents wendy and steve- wendy is one of my best good friends from mona shores high school)

they are something else, magical even.

fear of girls

there are really people out there like this!!

i think they should be framed and admired for their... uh... for something.

'have you ever been chased by the entire jv football team simply because you chose to wear your cloak that day?'

i won't say who this makes me think of, since it might be hurtful- but aaron, you know who i'm thinking of...

my boss sent me this- thanks bret!

Being IT

what would it be like to be the IT guy? find out here.

okay, yeah, so it's kinda silly. check it out anyway, just for the funny rollovers.

this post is dedicated to kevin mcmaster.

i would like to personally thank...

... my new washing machine.

you're always there for us when we need you.

clorox understands me.

why did we wait so long to get our own place?

click-a-clack

it's only typing... so why do i have to keep doing it?

dictionary.hm

http://dictionary.hm/

internal conversation in my head-
is it cool because it defines words, or because it reacts as you type? my first thought is this site is kind of cool, but then i ask myself why? because it can recognize that i'm typing?

it would be cooler if it were making suggestions about words you might be trying to look up as you type, since how many times do you go to look up a word, but can't spell it, so you can't look it up?

so when i started this blog entry, i thought this site is really cool. now i'm kind of wishing for more...

=)

anyway, maybe you'll like it.

my mom cares

recently my mom asked me if it made me nervous when i posted actual personally identifiable information about myself on my blog and i said 'well, no, because i don't'. and she said 'well, yes, you do'. and then she quoted a couple of places where i do and i realized, she was right (imagine that- my mom being right!!).

it's funny, because, when i'm posting, i'm taking care not to put my last name out there, or my phone number, so internally i feel pretty good about my online safety. then she brings it up and i realize i haven't been as careful as i thought- i've put my address in at least two postings (both of which i have already corrected).

i just got so excited about my new home, that i didn't even think about that as being potentially unsafe. that's what buying a new home does to you- erases your brain and empties your wallet. =)

so this post is to say, thanks mom!! i'm glad you care and i appreciate you for looking out for me.
